QTS McGraw Hill

New Jersey

QTS Data Centers, in collaboration with McGraw Hill, has pioneered New Jersey's first local use net-zero data center. Acquiring the site for $75 million, QTS harnessed 14.1 megawatts of net-metered solar power, marking the largest initiative of its kind at the time. Managed by New Jersey Resources, the $60 million project incorporates 57,000 photovoltaic panels, generating 18,400 megawatt-hours of electricity—enough to power 2,016 households. This groundbreaking endeavor showcases innovative PV concepts, advanced construction methods, and successful Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) negotiations, setting a new standard for sustainable data centers.
